For Rotto and Rotto Mechanic app accounts
You can request deletion without reinstalling either app. Email support@rotto.one from the email address associated with your account. If your account has no email address, tell us the phone number on the account and ask us to verify your identity before deletion.
State whether the request is for the Rotto customer app or the Rotto Mechanic app. We acknowledge requests within 2 business days and aim to complete verified, eligible deletion requests within 30 calendar days. We verify identity using an OTP sent to the phone number registered to the account; we never ask you to send an OTP by email. Do not email passwords, payment credentials or identity documents.
A customer account cannot be deleted while a booking, settlement, active payment link or refund is still being processed. You can submit the request meanwhile; the 30-day period begins once the request is verified and deletion is eligible. We will explain any records that must be retained and why.
For a customer account, the in-app deletion flow removes or anonymizes profile information, saved vehicles and addresses, cart data, sessions, and registered push devices within 30 calendar days after verification and eligibility. Completed service orders are unlinked from the customer account, and direct contact, address and vehicle identifiers are cleared from the service snapshot. Payment records are unlinked from the customer account; invoices and transaction details required for accounting, legal or dispute handling may be retained. Original job-location data is kept for up to 90 days and service photos for up to 180 days for service and support. Rotto plans to use these data types for internal routing and model training in the future; this use is not active today. Before that use begins, we plan to remove customer/account/order links from a separate training copy, redact visible plates and faces, strip photo EXIF metadata, and reduce location precision to what the model needs. A separate copy may remain after account deletion for up to 3 years from creation, with annual review and earlier deletion when no longer needed. This period and the safeguards are subject to privacy-counsel review before training begins; the copy may not be anonymous in every context.
Test-drive video/audio, diagnostic logs and crash reports are retained for up to 90 days. Data deleted from active systems is scheduled to age out of backups within 90 days, except for future training copies retained under the separate 3-year period or an active service, dispute, security incident or legal hold that requires longer retention.
Order, invoice, voucher and accounting records are kept for the legally applicable period. As an operational schedule, accounting books and vouchers are retained for 8 financial years; GST records are retained for at least 72 months from the due date of the relevant annual return, or longer if proceedings apply. Finance/legal review must confirm which record classes and statutory periods apply to each Rotto record before store submission.
Mechanic app access is provisioned by Rotto. A mechanic can use this page to request account deactivation and handling of associated personal data. Job evidence and audit records follow the periods above unless an active service, dispute, security incident or legal hold requires longer retention.
Customer app users can also go to Profile → Account details → Delete account and follow the in-app steps. Read the Privacy Policy for more information about personal data, retention and privacy requests.
